A few weeks passed of a rigid walking routine toward the city of Cairhien.

Elizbet was becoming thoroughly annoyed at the gleeman's nagging,but for some unknown reason she kept following Timot onward.

After several weeks, they arrived at Carhein, where Timot reported to the local commander, leaving the girl and the gleeman beyond.

Tavis was still full of objections, but he now spent most of his time hiding his face and masking his voice. He did not want to be recognized here, especially here of all places.

He wished he hadn't come back.
