Santiago gave a brief description of the vision he had seen with the girl. "As for who I am - a mage, as you know, who has come here to try and find out what's going on, and stop it before the world ends." _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

"Alone? There's a conclave of you out there, I robbed you once," he commented dryly.
He glared down at the girl, "Should we kill her then?" _________________ Delicious tea, or deadly poison?

Santiago shook his head. "No. My vision was too ambiguous. For all I know, she could have been saving us all instead - plus, killing her might result in the disaster happening more quickly or something even worse happening in its place. We just need to keep her with us. I do, however, think I know what the tower is." he walked over to a window and drew aside the curtains.
"The government offices." he pointed. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

"The Baron's towers?" Garrett looked bemused. "I don't know what the Baron would be doing with a book of glyph magic, but far be it for me to question your visions, I guess."
He walked over to the other side of his room, "You have a plan?" _________________ Delicious tea, or deadly poison?

Santiago snorted. "No. I just got into the city, with only the vaguest idea of what I'm looking for and where it's at in the first place. I needed more information and now I have it. You're the thief, here - what should our first step be?" _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Tali stirred, her head felt like an overripe melon. She couldn't see a damn thing. She blinked and realized that she was blindfolded and bound. Garret knew what he was doing, there was no way she was getting out of this one. |

"Alright then, you take care of the girl, I'll see what I can do about the Baron's towers," Garrett said flatly.
"When I get home, I don't want to see either of you here. I'll find you." _________________ Delicious tea, or deadly poison?

"Be careful," Santiago called, as Garrett left the room. He sat down on the bed and took off the gag and blindfold from Tali's face. "Well, looks like its just you and me now..." _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

"Lemme Go," she snapped, trying to wriggle free. Garret had done his job though, the knots weren't even loose. |

"No," Santiago said. "You've become suddenly of interest to us. We can't let you go just yet." _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

There were an abundance of guards in the Baron's castle. Not that it was unexpected. The City Offices were among the tallest buildings in the City, but not completely airtight.
He left a veritable army of unconscious guards. Not to mention spent a veritable fortune on getting the equipment to properly do this job. On the plus side, there was plenty of loot to be had all over the place.
Only the last tower to scale. He would be rich after this.
If he had enough stuff to make it. _________________ Delicious tea, or deadly poison?

"Yeah, why's that?" She asked, an edge to her voice, as she took in the room around them.
Her head felt like it was about to split open. She'd get Garret for that later. Right now she needed to deal with this mage. |

"Well, it has a lot to do with the simple fact that I've had a vision of you..." he went on to outline what he had seen. Since he had no intention of letting her go, and every intention of making her part of the team it seemed fitting that she should know. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

"I can't use magic, so I'm not exactly inclined to believe you. Even if I had this book of yours, I couldn't use it."
She didn't like mages, as a rule. This combined with knocking her out and tying her up did not exactly help Santiago's case when it came to trusting him, which she didn't. |

The tower was inordinately thick with guards. Double patrols. Garrett began to suspect Santiago as a setup. He came too close to being caught too many times.
When he finally reached the top of the tower, a feat respectable in and of itself, he found the library.
There was no book of Glyphs to be found.
He turned around quickly and saw a trio of armed guards behind him.
"It's like our lead said, here he is boys," the captain smirked. "The legendary Garrett, caught in our trap."
Garrett swore. _________________ Delicious tea, or deadly poison?
