"Well..." Evec said, chewing his lip thoughtfully. "If you don't have a place to stay tonight, I guess you can stay at my apartment." He was known for random charitable acts. Besides, it wouldn't be right to leave a random teenager out on the streets. He looked over at Joe Kerr.
"What abot you? Do you have somewhere to stay?" he wondered exactly why he was inviting a random insane stranger into his house. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

"No, it happens I don't old boy! Thank you for the invitation!" he suddenly was acting as if he'd know Evec for years. "I hope you have pie! I hate it!" |

"I appreciate it,but you don't have to, really..."
She barely even knew the guy and he expected her to stay at his place? She suppose he couldn't be a bad guy, after all he did work at the local hospital, but still... |

"I wouldn't feel right leaving you out on the streets," Evec said earnestly. "Or him either..." he stared at Joe Kerr, not in the mood to even try deciphering the pie comment.
"Its this way," he said, gesturing to them both. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Tanwen followed him silently. She didn't like the idea of Joe Kerr coming along. He wasn't all there. |

"It's a date!" he smiled excessively and followed after them, singing random songs from all over Mythras. |

Orion tried to ignore Joe Kerr's (terrible) singing as he led his two new companions to his apartment, which was on the third floor of a building about a half mile from the hospital. It was fairly small inside, not especially fancy. But it was home.
"Well..." he said. "Here we are." _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Tanwen walked to the center of the room silently. She wasn't sure what to do. Joe on the other hand seemed to just waltz right in. |

He suddenly went silent. He had a feeling, a familiar, unmistakable feeling. Demon worshipers. Having been bound to the thing for so long, he had traces of it left. He could feel when others under its influence were near. His relentlessly cheerful demeanor died and he glanced out the window.
Who could they be after? He was 'dead' about all accounts, at least that's what he thinks he is. Maybe the girl? She might have a trouble background. He cackled darkly. |

Evec noticed him looking at the window and felt curious. The man suddenly didn't seem so randomly crazy anymore. He seemed rather...intense more than anything.
"Is something wrong?" he asked. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Tanwen also noticed the change and she tensed. The hairs on the back of her neck were prickling. Something was up. She glanced from Joe to Evec and back again. What had prompted the sudden change? |

He pulled out a comb and slicked back his hair. "The party is about to get started," he said in a thick voice.
He stepped back from the door as it fell back. With the precision of an experienced killer, the comb was driven into the first cultist's neck. The second one had his face blasted to smoking bits with lightning magic. The third was knocked out quickly by having a random vase in Evec's house smashed against the side of his head. The last one had his gun ripped from his grip as he stumbled back in surprise and was... well...
For lack of a better term, Joe Kerr ripped him to pieces with his bare hands.
Perhaps the most unsettling part was the fact he laughed joyfully the entire time he was doing it. The best part was, he had a prisoner. |

Orion gaped, horrified, summoning the full power of Spirit as quickly as he could. But it wasn't a combat magic, he wasn't a combat mage and thoroughly despised violence.
"What...what did you do?" he demanded, staring at Joe. "What on earth is going on?" _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Tanwen stood wide eyed. Carnage, was nothing new, not with the war going on, but to see somone do such a deed so joyful. Not only that, but how had he known they were coming? |

He hefted the unconscious man up. "He'll tell you when he comes to, isn't that right buddy?" he said jokingly at the man. His voice dropped to a hissing whisper suddenly, "I'll make you talk, because if you don't, you won't be smiling. Kapeesh?"
The alternations between smiling loon and hissing killer would have made anyone uncomfortable. Although Joseph knew he should meditate soon, he didn't like the process. It made him think of things. Unpleasant thing. Things that hurt.
Yet, the magic was helpful. The headless cultist was a testament to the raw energy of lightning magic. |
