Oleg didn't say anything but privately, he was somewhat amused that the girl had changed her assessment after both he and Havard had weighed in.

Eleena did not say anything though it was clear from the expression on her face that she did not like that idea at all. She knew it was true, however. There was much going on that they did not know about, she was sure of it.

By sundown the small company was moving out. They would not face much opposition until they were almost to Silvermines, they were moving through friendly controlled territory.

The Five Champions continued to pierce deeper in the desert behind the Deceiver's main lines. After fighting a unusually large and determined force of Soulless, over a score strong in itself, they found Alric. He was in an odd Dream, held aloft and in a stupor that was maintained by four pedestals that glowed with a faint violet light. These were quickly demolished, and Alric's body fell limp at their feet.

It was some time before he came to, not even Ten Motion's healing got him to respond. After a while, he finally muttered to one of them, "Tirgisis with Burning Steel?" His voice was slurred. "My... sword... the... cubes..."

The Berserk looked around the area he'd been imprisoned, he soon found a scimitar and a handful of small glowing orbs. They all assumed this was what Alric meant. He pocketed the things and started stumbling off into the distance. Rather dumbfounded, they followed him. He at least seemed to know the way out.
