The gleeman broke into a story about the great Artur Hawking, one he was very familiar with, so that he could think while they talked. From Caemlyn, he needed to get further away. Whitebridge? And from there, Illian. Yes. That sounded like a plan to him.

He still shook his head when he looked at all the men going toward the war, all the men marching to their own deaths.

She held out a hand, watching his face for his reaction to the name. A large majority of the customers always mistook her for a lad, whether they were drunk or sober.

Tavis kept an ear to the conversation around, though. He felt... odd. Like something he did not want to happen was about to happen.

Then two beautiful women, if their ageless faces could be considered so, swept into the room with impossible grace and took a table rather casually. All the men sitting there backed away in any event. One man accompanied them, and he moved like some sort of weapon himself, all silence and hard, searching glances.

Aes Sedai and a Warder, he thought grimly. This only gets worse.

"I'm afraid, sir, that I might retire early. It seems that my throat is beginning to sore." He ignored whatever paltry protests that innkeeper managed. The common room had nearly been bursting at the seems for hours this evening, and his business had been swell. Tavis himself had made a pretty pinch in weight in gold.

"What kind of attention do you think I'd get if I walked in her in a dress? It would be a lot worse than the guy you confronted."

She tried not to stare at the two ageless faces who had just taken a table. They were...different.

Imika swept into the room, looking around casually at the various patrons and paying them no mind. Though they, as they should be, showed a little bit of nervousness - and respect - to the Aes Sedai, though her Warder probably had something to do with it as well.

She noted the gleeman trying to slip upstairs to his room and pointed it out to her companion. She suspected he had run across Aes Sedai before.

"In what way?" Timot said, puzzled. "I see half a dozen women patrons in here." he glanced at the Aes Sedai, and recognized them immediately. This could get unpleasent.

She went on to order herself a nice drink and rent them a room.

Tavis was mostly up the stairs when he heard someone shout outside. He cringed and looked out a window from the second story. Some poor chump, perhaps one of those stupid drunks, had picked a fight with the Children of the Light. He was bound to be marked for Darkfriend now. The gleeman shook his head and went on to his room.

Imikia heard the brawl as well. She turned to Beaulin. "Children of the Light," she muttered. "We'd better find a place and get out of the way. They'll make trouble for us."
