"Do you think the Gleeman knows something?" Imika asked. "It could be beneficial to follow." _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

"I doubt he knows anything, he seemed more startled than I was by it," Beaulin replied. "In any event, finding the man now would involve rummaging through the entire population of Caemlyn."
Tavis worked his way toward the inner city, having no desire to deal with the Children of the Light either.
"Darkfriends, Children, and Aes Sedai. I hate my life." |

Elizbet had risen to walk around a bit, she'd been sitting too long. Her route took her behind timot.
"Well that was unexpected," She said, standing behind him. |

"Indeed," Timot said, eyes still on the door where the gleeman had abruptly departed. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Tavis sat on a bench somewhere in the Inner City, shaking his head. The world was going to the dogs, and quickly. Laman brings the wrath of the Aiel on his head, and now the Dark One was doing something? He hated the fact he'd seen a Gray Man. What's next? Shadowspawn?
He'd never disbelieved in Trollocs, or Myrdraal, or Darkhounds, or any of the nightmares of the Shadow. What he was really worried about now, though, was Darkfriends.
And Children of the Light, who could be as bad as Darkfriends. |

"Didn't seem like he enjoyed the attention, though," she took an empty seat at his table, her own table had already been occupied by some other customers. |

"He killed spawn of the Dark One in front of Aes Sedai and everyone else in the inn," Timot snorted. "Would you want that sort of attention?" _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

A murmur rose through the inn now. Someone had overheard the gleeman saved an Aes Sedai. Which meant the ageless looking women were Aes Sedai. Their warrior friend was a Warder. All sorts of unpleasant attention was being directed at the inn now, and the innkeeper seemed to be trying to ask the women off the premise.
"See now, I don't want any trouble, ladyships. I just run an honest establishment. I don't want any trouble. The Dragon's Fang on my door, with the Children of the Light in the city.... eh... if you take my meaning."
"Do not worry, kind sir. My friend and I were just about to leave your city in any event. The presence of the Children do not bode well for our continued presence," Beaulin replied musically. Inside, however, she fumed. This was a major set back in their search for Black Ajah sisters. Clearly they were on to something, but they needed to get out of Caemlyn so long as the Children were here. Yes, they would be on their way to Cairhien with the rest of the armies soon enough, but time was time.
Tavis realized he'd left his harp in the inn, "Blood and bloody ashes," he cursed to himself. He could leave it, but... No, he had to go back for it. Quickly. He hustled over to the inn and kept a dodgy eye out for any sort of trouble. |

Imika smiled, equally as annoyed as Beaulin. She glanced over at the man who had given them away. He looked like he was some kind of mercanary. Fool. Didn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

Timot noticed the Aes Sedai staring at him and immediately kicked himself for even mentioning the Aes Sedai in the first place.
"You see, then?" he said absently to Elizbet. He suddenly had the urge to sneak out of the room. _________________ A path taken is paths forsaken.

Elizbet laughed at this, she could also see the Aes Sedai eyes on Timot. She shivered, she'd hate to be Timot right now. |

Tavis stalked into the inn in a different cloak with a hat on his head. He'd bought a change of clothes on the fly on his way back here, and when no one was looking, snagged the forgotten harp. He was fortunate it had not been stolen, but he decided that perhaps he'd left a bit too much of an impression here. The Aes Sedai were still here, unfortunately. One of them was eying one of the ridiculous young men who marked themselves for death.
He was sitting with the girl that was pretending to be a boy. He would have sighed if he would allow himself the luxury.
"Come, Imika," Beaulin said. "We have business elsewhere." |

The Aes Sedai left. Creator and Light be praised, he thought sardonically.
He seated himself near the two odd birds, "You should be more careful," he whispered. "Both of you." |
